Rembrandt Soft Pastels

Rembrandt's pastels have been one of the most widely used soft pastels in the world for many years. Each colour in the extensive range is made according to a unique formula. The raw materials for each new batch undergo a very strict quality control. Rembrandt soft pastels are based on the purest types of kaolin and high concentrations of high-quality pigments that offer the highest degree of lightfastness.

The range consists of 218 colours:

• 44 pure colours (voltones)
• 56 cuts with black
• 118 cuts with white

The colour number and code indicate whether a color has been cut and to what extent. Each colour has its own number.
The pure colours are followed by the code .5.
Cuts with black are indicated by the codes .2 and .3.
The codes .7 to .12 indicate intermediate colours, which are cut with more and more white.
